Overview

Meeyu ("we", "our", "the Service") is an admissions management platform that helps university admissions officers manage applicant communications, scheduling, and pipeline workflows. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Information We Collect

Account information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from your Google account.

Gmail data:With your explicit consent, we access your Gmail inbox to display, categorize, and help you respond to applicant-related emails. We read email metadata (sender, subject, date) and message content to power AI-assisted draft responses. We send emails on your behalf only when you explicitly click "Send."

Calendar data: With your explicit consent, we access your Google Calendar to display events and create new calendar entries when you request them.

Applicant data:We store applicant pipeline information (names, emails, application status, documents) as provided by your institution's admissions system.

How We Use Your Data

We use your data solely to provide the Meeyu service:

  • Display and categorize your inbox emails
  • Generate AI-assisted draft email responses for your review
  • Display and manage your calendar events
  • Prioritize applicant follow-ups and tasks
  • Provide an AI assistant to help with admissions workflows

We do not sell, share, or transfer your personal data or Gmail content to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely on Supabase (PostgreSQL) and Vercel infrastructure, both of which use encryption at rest and in transit. Gmail OAuth tokens are stored encrypted in our database and are used only to access your Gmail and Calendar on your behalf.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Meeyu:

  • Google APIs (Gmail, Calendar) — to read/send emails and manage calendar events with your permission
  • Google Gemini AI— to generate email drafts and power the AI assistant. Email content may be sent to Google Gemini for processing. Google's AI data usage policies apply.
  • Supabase — database hosting
  • Vercel — application hosting

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your institution maintains an active Meeyu subscription. Upon cancellation, we delete all associated data within 30 days. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

Your Rights

You may revoke Meeyu's access to your Google account at any time through your Google Account permissions. You may request a copy of your data or request deletion by emailing us.

Google API Disclosure

Meeyu's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
